Soroptimist El Dorado met March 18. President Janett Doile called the meeting to order after a light snack during our social time.
Bebee Thomas reported our annual Potato Bar Supper Fundraiser and Bake Sale on March 4 was a great success. An estimated 415 people enjoyed our meal, including take out customers. Proceeds are used to support club awards and programs for girls and women in our community.
We are grateful for everyone who purchased a ticket. Several members are attending the 93rd Annual South Central Region Conference in Dodge City April 26-28. Nominees for SIA President-Elect were reviewed.
Planning details were discussed for our second annual Dream it, Be it! career-support event for teen girls in April. A member recruitment event will be held in June.
Club members signed up to help during our EHS softball concessions stand. An updated menu with healthy food and drink options, including pulled pork sandwiches and fresh fruit, will be available for purchase. Proceeds support club service projects.
